Frequently Asked Questions

You should apply for a fee waiver after your manuscript has been accepted for publication. Waiver requests submitted before acceptance will not be processed. Please submit your request within 14 days of receiving the acceptance notification.

IJOEAR allocates a limited number of full waivers per issue (typically 2-3). Partial waivers and discounts have higher availability. Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to applicants with demonstrated financial need.

No, only one discount or waiver can be applied per manuscript. If you qualify for multiple types, the highest applicable discount will be applied (e.g., a reviewer who is also a student will receive the 30% reviewer discount, not both).

If your waiver request is denied, you will receive a detailed explanation. You may still proceed with publication at the standard APC rate, or you may appeal the decision within 7 days by providing additional supporting documentation.

Waiver requests must be submitted before APC payment. Refunds for already-paid APCs are not provided based on subsequent waiver requests. Please apply for a waiver before making payment.
