Advertisement Policy

IJOEAR Advertisement Policy - Maintaining editorial independence and advertising standards
Policy Statement

The International Journal of Environmental and Agriculture Research (IJOEAR) accepts advertising in print and digital formats under strict guidelines that protect the journal's reputation, editorial independence, and commitment to scholarly integrity. All advertisements must comply with applicable laws and ethical standards.

Editorial Independence

IJOEAR maintains absolute editorial independence from advertisers and sponsors. The following principles guide our operations:

No Advertiser Influence

Advertisers and sponsors have no influence over editorial decisions, including manuscript acceptance, rejection, or content modifications. All editorial decisions are made solely by the Editor-in-Chief and editorial board based on scholarly merit.

Blind to Peer Review

Advertising relationships are not disclosed to peer reviewers, and reviewers are not influenced by commercial considerations. The double-blind peer review process remains completely separate from advertising operations.

Declaration: Acceptance of an advertisement does not imply endorsement by IJOEAR, its editorial board, or publisher AD Publications. Products or services advertised are not guaranteed or warranted by the journal.

Advertising Standards

All advertisements published in IJOEAR must meet the following standards:

Standard CategoryRequirement
TruthfulnessAdvertisements must be accurate, not misleading, and supported by verifiable claims. Exaggerated or false statements are prohibited.
Legal ComplianceAll ads must comply with applicable local, national, and international laws, including consumer protection regulations.
Good TasteAdvertisements must not contain offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content. The journal reserves the right to reject any ad.
Professional ConductAdvertisements must not attack or disparage competing products, services, or organizations unfairly.

Pre-Approval Review

All advertisements are reviewed before publication to ensure compliance with these standards.

  • Weapons, firearms, or explosive devices
  • Pornography or sexually explicit content

Pharmaceutical & Medical Device Advertising

Advertisements for pharmaceutical products, medical devices, or agricultural chemicals must include appropriate safety information, contraindications, and comply with applicable regulatory disclosure requirements. Advertisers may be required to submit regulatory approval documentation.

Placement & Separation

To maintain clear distinction between editorial and commercial content, IJOEAR follows these placement guidelines:

Clear Labeling

All advertisements are clearly labeled as "Advertisement," "Sponsored," "Promotion," or similar designations. No advertisement will be disguised as editorial content.

Distinct Typography

Advertisements use different typography, color schemes, or borders to visually distinguish them from surrounding editorial content.

No Adjacent Topic Manipulation

Advertisements are not intentionally placed adjacent to editorial content that may create an implied endorsement relationship.

Digital Separation

On the website, advertisements are separated from article text by borders, background colors, or clear spacing. Pop-up ads that interfere with content reading are not permitted.

Sponsorship Disclosure

IJOEAR maintains transparency regarding sponsorships and financial support:

Disclosure Requirements
  • Special Issues: Any sponsored supplement or special issue is clearly identified on the cover and inside pages, stating the sponsor's name and role.
  • Conference Support: Financial support for conference coverage or proceedings is disclosed prominently.
  • Section Sponsorship: Sponsored sections (e.g., "Industry Perspectives") are clearly labeled and separated from peer-reviewed content.
  • Website Sponsorship: Digital sponsorships are disclosed in the website footer or dedicated sponsorship page.

Annual Disclosure: IJOEAR publishes an annual list of all advertisers and sponsors who contributed USD 5,000 or more during the calendar year. This disclosure is available upon request.

No Pay-for-Publication
Advertisers cannot pay to influence manuscript acceptance or publication timing.

Sponsorship Agreements
All sponsorship agreements are documented and available for audit.

Complaints & Violations

IJOEAR takes complaints about advertisements seriously. Readers, authors, or advertisers who believe an advertisement violates this policy may file a complaint.

Complaint Process
  1. Submit complaint in writing to info@ijoear.com
  2. Include the specific advertisement (screenshot, page number, or URL)
  3. Describe the alleged policy violation
  4. Provide supporting evidence or documentation (if available)

Resolution Timeline: Complaints are acknowledged within 3 business days. Investigation and resolution typically completed within 15 business days. Complainants receive written explanation of the outcome.

Consequences of Violation

Advertisers found in violation of this policy may face suspension or permanent ban from advertising in IJOEAR. Repeated violations will result in immediate termination of all advertising agreements without refund. Misleading or fraudulent advertisements may be reported to relevant regulatory authorities.
